Jenny Clare - Violin
Jenny Clare graduated with a First Class BMus hons degree from the Royal Academy of Music in 2024, where she studied violin with Nick Miller. She gradually fostered a love of chamber music through her experiences on Pro Corda courses, where she was coached by various renowned chamber musicians including Rafael Todes, Andrew Watkinson and Matthew Jones. She has since attended classes with members of the Doric, Castilian and Alban Berg Quartets and has performed at the Petworth Festival, the King’s private residence ‘Highgrove’, and the Royal Festival Hall.
Orchestrally, Jenny has worked with the English National Ballet and Nu Civilisation Orchestra, and has performed solo recitals at Norwich Cathedral, Southwold Arts Festival and the Pimlott Foundation.
Jenny enjoys a variation of music styles and genres – in July 2024 she worked with the up and coming young jazz artist Emma Rawicz to perform her new compositions in a concert at Pizza
Express Live in Soho, London, later recording these same works at Maida Vale Studios in September 2024.
Jenny is interested in the merging of electronics and music, and performed a special “Spatial Sound” demonstration concert in Dean Street, London in April 2024.
