Originally from Wrexham in North Wales, Bethan was inspired to pursue a career in music after playing in the wealth of youth orchestras in North Wales and the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. Bethan studied with Steven Wilkie at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music before moving to London to study at the Royal College of Music with Yossi Zivoni.

Upon graduating, Bethan enjoyed a varied freelance career including orchestral work with BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Welsh National Opera Orchestra and Scottish Chamber Orchestra. In 2023 she became a full-time member of the 1^st violin section in the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

As well as classical orchestral playing, she has also enjoyed recording and performing alongside artists including Ariana Grande, Gregory Porter, George Ezra and Boy George.
